SOUTH GEORGIA'S PREMIER RETIREE NEWSLETTER

Monthly Publication Volume 6, Issue 4

I’ll have to say one of the events I’m most excited about is the South Georgia Classic PGA TOUR’S Nationwide Tour at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta. One hundred and fifty six of the top professional golfers on the PGA TOUR’s Nationwide Tour will be teeing it up at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, April 28-May 4.The 2008 tournament will feature a strong field, including defending champion John Kimbell, who will be playing for a purse of $625,000 with the winner receiving $112,500. In addition to Kimbell several former University of Georgia stars will compete including Tommy Tolles, Franklin Langham, and Chris Kirk. Former U.S. Amateur Champions, Ricky Barnes and Bubba Dickerson will also compete.
Also, in the field are the Top-10 on the Nationwide Tour money list including the current money leader Jarrod Lyle.
Tickets for the tournament cost $5.00 and can be purchased through the tournament office at (229) 242-8455. Each ticket is good for a one day admission May 1 – May 4. Children 15 and under are free with a paying adult.
The tournament, only in its second year, will be televised internationally on the Golf Channel-so if you can’t make it to Valdosta that week please watch for us on the Golf Channel!
